A J Corby Constructions Pty Ltd is a private residential building company based in Bowral and servicing the Southern
Highlands region. Specialising in Architecturally designed residential homes, alterations and additions.
Our company was established in 2004 and has 7 full time staff. I am the sole director and have over 27years experience in the industry with an advanced certificate in building supervision, Q license, scaffold license, bonded asbestos removal license, training in OH&S risk management for supervisors, current committee member of the Southern Highlands Master Builders Association.
Our highly qualified staff all hold (accept apprentices who are currently training) a certificate III in carpentry and our supervisors hold a certificate IV in building and construction.
We are committed to training and developing our workforce and have to date successfully trained 5 Apprentices and have another currently in his 2nd year. 2 of our former apprentices have now moved on to their own successful building companies.
Where possible we always use local suppliers, contractors and labour to help stimulate and support our local community. We have developed great working relationships with our subcontractors and main suppliers, with their expertise and skills combined with our staff we always achieve a high quality of work
We are also involved in Vocational Education & Training program run by work place learning for year 11 and 12 high school students. We believe strongly in this program as it gives the students a head start on their knowledge of the construction industry. We were recognized by Workplace Learning Illawarra, winning the excellence in work place training 2018 award
We believe that instilling a sense of pride in our entire crew is essential to our business. Entering projects into the Master Builders Awards has played a key role in encouraging pride and striving to achieve a superior quality.
We have won 14 Regional Master Builders awards including young builder of the year in 2008 and residential builder of the year in 2016, 2 Wingecarribee shire council heritage awards and 1 excellence in vocational education & training award.
